Middle School
Ministry
Purpose:
The purpose of our middle school ministry is to make disciples of
Jesus Christ who will, above all other priorities, love God and love
people.
Biblical
Foundation: Our
foundation and reference point for ministry comes from the 12th
chapter of Mark’s gospel story: “The most important [commandment],”
answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the
Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The
second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no
commandment greater than these.”
Vision:
We are seeking to provide opportunities for Middle school students
to grow in their understanding of what it means to live day-to-day
as a disciple of Jesus, what it means to love God, and what it means
to love people. We want to expose them to situations, circumstances
and experiences that teach them, through word and example, how to
live as a disciple of Jesus each and every day.
Programs:
We have a number of programs throughout the year designed for fun,
community-building, encouragement, teaching, worship and service.
The programs are ever-changing, particularly through the summer.
Please feel free to call Jeremy Miller, youth minister, or e-mail
him at
